Finding the Balance: The 9 to 5 Mompreneur (Update)

Prayers and peace, guys. That's the mode that has carried me through. After three weeks into being back in the workforce, I can honestly say the transition has been crazier than I expected in some areas but much easier in others. After 18 months out of the game, I thought I would struggle getting back into the routine of waking at the crack of dawn, leaving my baby in an unfamiliar place and answering to the commands of higher-ups , all day emails and projects not generated by my own thoughts and passions. But it has honestly been such a smooth transition and I haven't really missed a beat. ( It helps that I'm no longer in corporate).
What's been more of a struggle is the juggling act of mom life, wife life, entrepreneur life and fitness life after work-life. So here's where I'm at right now...
I wake up around 6:24 am (do not ask me why its not 6:15 or 6:30. For some reason, its a little happy medium random time my body is comfortable with).
I get dressed, get munchkin ready and drop her off at daycare. I make it home from work around 6:00 pm most days (hubby picks up munchkin from daycare), and I made it a goal to be in bed by 10:30. Yall, that has. not. happened.lol.
As simple as it may sound, I just realized the other day that only gives me four hours to cook, clean, work out, baby one-on-one, bath time and down for sleep, work on my client accounts, nurture Phresh Wishes and get ready for the next day. Needless to say I've been going to sleep around 12:30 (and that's been with adjustments). I learned very quickly that cooking absolutely will not happen when I get home. I am too tired to manage it. Instead, what works is me preparing dinner for the next day at night after my workout and after munchkin is sleep and everyone is out for the night.
Also, I've learned it's better to get my client work done during the day. This usually only takes about a total of an hour so I've dedicated 30 minutes in the morning as soon as I get to work and 30 minutes during my lunch break. That way the load of getting their content created and out and having dinner ready is off my back once I get home.
Still, it has been so difficult to get to bed before midnight. No matter how hard I try it hasn't near happened yet, but I still think it's feasible. The more organized I get and the more I trial and error it out with this schedule, it will happen.
I'm giving all of these little details because they are exactly what I was looking for right after I accepted the offer from my employer. Is it feasible? Who else is doing all of this? How exactly do they do it? What are some best practices? I've had not a lick of an example to follow. It's truly been me and God figuring it out day by day, and we've been doing pretty good!
The nights have been late, the schedule off and the tasks plentiful but it's been nothing I can't handle most days.
While things have been busy and beyond, God has given me such a peace about it all. He's given me the grace to find the balance and to be at peace while doing it. This year has already been so much better than the last, and I can't wait to see what else will unfold. I write this for all of the women wondering if they can make it happen - nurture their careers while chasing their dreams. You absolutely can! I'm only 3 weeks in, but I am living proof that it can be done with some faith and willpower.
Just go for it. God will make a way for you to sustain your life with your job while you work through your purpose on the side. A key motivation for me is that I know it's all temporary, and the main purpose will become front and center of my attention at the perfect time.
What are you trying to balance? What are you afraid of trying because you dont think you have the time or capacity? Let me know! DM me, email me, comment on this post!
